You do not need to download an app to use City Deals today. Just open the camera on your smartphone and point it at the codes in the magazine. The links will open right in your phone browser.
How to scan with your phone
Most modern phones have a built-in scanner. You do not need to search the app store for a QR reader. Open your camera app and hold it steady over the code you want to see. A link will pop up on your screen for you to tap.
The two codes on every ad
Every business ad in the magazine has two different paths. The VIDEO code shows you a 30-second clip of the business. The DEAL code shows you the offer with buttons to call the shop or see a map.

Use the standard camera app on your iPhone or Android device.

Choose the Video code or the Deal code on the page.
- Tap the Link
Click the web address that appears on your phone screen.
- Use the Deal
Show the screen to the business or use the call button.
The future City Deals app
We are building a City Deals app for the future. It is not ready to download yet. When it arrives, it will make saving your favorite shops even easier. For now, your camera is all you need to see deals in Kendall, Westchester, and Miami Lakes.
What to check if it fails
- Check if your camera lens is clean.
- Make sure you have a cell signal or Wi-Fi.
- Hold the phone about 6 inches away from the paper.
- Ensure there is enough light on the magazine page.

Do I need to pay for an app?
No. There is no app to buy. Your phone camera works for free to open the web links.

Check your phone settings to make sure 'Scan QR Codes' is turned on. You can also email info@citydeals.ai for support.
